Apple begins to retire the iPad Pro ahead of the imminent March launch

Until the arrival of the iPhone 8 or iPhone X or iPhone 7s , all our eyes are on the launch of the new iPad Pro models planned for this month of March. Although Apple is rather cryptic when it comes to filtering information, we are already starting to see the signs that a renewal is indeed imminent .

For a few days now, the stock of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro has started to decrease significantly , reaching a point where if you buy a terminal from the Apple website, you will have to wait two to three weeks to receive it in countries such as the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Spain…

And what does this mean? The low availability could show that Apple has stopped producing them, focusing on the production of the new models . Another possibility that cannot be ruled out either is that Apple is suffering some problem in terms of supply from its suppliers, something that is not the first time that this has happened, as we were able to see with the AirPods, whose launch was delayed for a few months until just before Christmas, with the BeatsX – which will start selling today – or with the iPhone.

But this drop in stock does not only affect the Apple website or the Apple stores. In several online stores of American telecommunications companies such as Best Buy, Verizon or AT&T there is no stock of the larger iPad Pro directly, which is not the case with the 9.7-inch. Surprisingly, and unlike other times, there is no typical sign announcing “new units on the way” .

It is quite surprising that Apple has planned a renovation by launching no less than three new iPad Pro models given the stagnation and reduction that the tablet sector is suffering and that, in addition, due to the good functioning and longevity of the iPad and its use aimed primarily at leisure, users who already own an iPad do not feel the need to update it every few years.
