In the past few hours, a “mid-2014 Mac Mini” has appeared on apple’s official support website .
It would be strange if this were a typographical error, as this small Apple desktop has not been updated since October 2012 . And the fact that Apple has been quick to correct the error without worrying about adding the new MacBook Pro models that arrived yesterday also raises suspicions. Thankfully, Google’s cache helps us uncover these slips.
I know quite a few people who ask me about when the Mac mini will be upgraded with the intention of buying one based on its new specifications… and this is a little ray of hope for them. Perhaps after all this time, at least one internal face-lift will come to bring the computer up to date. Oh. and there has also been mention of a 21 and 27 inch “mid 2014 iMac”, so perhaps we will also see new specifications of the Apple all-in-one in addition to that new low-end model that was released a few weeks ago.
We’ll keep an eye out for more possible leads on this. From the source they are not very optimistic, and I certainly don’t count on something as fast as the MacBook Pro either. If it happens, we’ll have to wait a bit.
