An Italian association gets funding to create the “All About Apple Museum”

El Museo de Arte Moderno de San Francisco homenajeará a Jonathan Ive por una vida de logros

Initiatives such as these are worth mentioning: an association of fans of Italian Apple products, called Fondazione All About Apple and established in 2002, has gathered the necessary funds to open a museum in Italy with more than 9,000 collector’s items about Cupertino’s company named “All About Apple Museum” .

This will be in the city of Savona, in the northwest of the country. Everything has been based on a crowfunding campaign, which has gone beyond what is necessary, and which will allow its creators to open a shop from which all visitors will be able to interact with thousands of Apple products donated by other interested people and carefully preserved. The museum even has official recognition from Apple.

Some pieces that will be able to be used are the first Mac, with the signatures of all the original development team (including Steve Jobs) on them, the Mac 20th anniversary, or even curiosities like the toolbox that Steve Wozniak used in the first days of Apple.

The museum is an evolution of the one that the association already had in Genoa back in 2005, a fact that we at Apple remember with much nostalgia. Why? Because our first article, written in April 2006, was about that museum. Nine years and 52,173 articles published later, we are happy that the initiative continues and also receives the necessary support to improve.
