An Apple patent shows an electronic device control system with Siri

Engadget

This patent , which although dates from 2010, was published this week , shows a system that allows you to control different electronic devices through something reminiscent of Siri. Apple, which showed us Siri last year, has to be implemented even with our language, but everything points to the fact that the development will go beyond the mere personal assistant. In view of the graph, it is clear that Apple is considering the possibilities that Siri can offer.

To be able to order, via a smartphone or a computer, that Siri takes a flash photo with a camera connected by Wi-Fi or Bluetooth in a given time interval. This is one of the possibilities shown by this patent. An iPod nano or iPod shuffle could also come into play to control your music… Has the image of an AppleTV recording our favorite show really come to mind because we’re not at home?

Obviously, the cameras (and the iPod) will need specific hardware to allow the interpretation of these commands provided by Siri, so it may open the possibility of new devices. I don’t know if Apple might have another new gadget ready to add to their list, but the probability opened by this patent could bring interesting new features. Siri is something that has to evolve, and obviously only Apple knows which way it will go .
