Neither Google, nor Samsung, nor Motorola, nor… honestly all the iPad competition presented so far seems pretty poor to me and except for the HP proposal it seems that they all are one step behind the Apple tablet.
However, I believe there is one company that could clearly hit the nail on the head and represent real competition for Apple in the tablet arena. I am talking about none other than d and Amazon, one of the few companies that could face Apple directly .
And the company already has some experience in selling devices associated with products, such as its well-known Kindle, so creating a rival for the iPad (in terms of content) would not be a problem for the company.
Another song is about hardware and software, although if the rumors are true (everything seems to indicate that they are more than a rumor) Amazon will surely go for hardware already known and based on Google Android 3.0 … ie another tablet using Honeycomb.
The difference in this case would be the use of their own app store, which already works on Android (adding extra value to their tablet) and also all the services of selling music, cloud services, book sales. These services are very similar to Apple’s and Amazon already has them (and they also work very well), something that no other competitor on the block can say right now.
