WhatsApp for iPad is coming to the App Store

Typically, one of the applications we miss most on an iPad is WhatsApp. It is true that applications such as Telegram have their version for Apple tablets, but not being able to count on the queen of messaging apps turns out to be a small task. But we have good news and, as WABetainfo reports, the iPad version of WhatsApp is about to arrive at the App Store. In fact we can already find it in beta version, although it is not public. However, we have been able to see screenshots of how the application looks on the big screen of the iPad.

It seems that Facebook, the company that acquired WhatsApp in 2016, has finally decided to bring the app to the iPad. As we said at the beginning of the post, this is great news for those of us who use the iPad every day. More and more people use these devices to work and the fact that we can have an application like WhatsApp on this device makes communication easier and increases productivity. This joins the version of WhatsApp Business that is already available on the iPhone since last week.

According to WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp application will be supported on iPad as you have seen in the last beta of the application. However it is still early to know an exact date. It should be noted that the same media has stated that the application will be compatible with all iPad models , which does not clarify whether older models that no longer update iOS 12 will also be compatible.

The operation of the application is the same as the one we can see on an iPhone, in that as soon as we open it we will find the same screen on which we must accept the terms of service and enter our data. It is not clear if we will be able to use an already registered telephone number that we are using in a mobile, although it would be logical to think that if we were allowed to do so.

The interface that appears once we have logged in is very similar to the WhatsApp Web . On the left side is a list of all the chats that have been started, while on the right side is a list of the chats that have been selected. The lower part is very similar to the iPhone version with the different tabs for Status, calls, chats and settings. It is also worth mentioning that the interface can be seen both horizontally and vertically.

We will continue to report on this version of WhatsApp for iPad. We understand that will still need to pass a series of tests to be ready for release to the public . We hope that these tests will not last long and that we will be able to enjoy it as soon as possible.

How about this news? Will you be using WhatsApp on your iPad when it’s available? Leave your impressions in the comments.
