Adoption of previous versions of OS X Yosemite shatters records

stas son las novedades de OS X Yosemite Developer Preview 7

The top graph almost speaks for itself: the adoption of OS X Yosemite has skyrocketed this summer reaching 3.3% usage on Macs. In other words: 33 out of every 1,000 Apple computers have OS X Yosemite installed. It may seem a small figure, but it is very high for a previous version of OS and is already followed by good figures at the end of July.

The public beta of the system, adopted by one million users , must have helped. Nor should we forget the aesthetic change, which must have motivated many curious people to install OS X Yosemite on one of their machines. Proof is that in just one month the adoption has jumped from 1.2% to 3.3%.

The “bad” news is that we don’t expect to see a confirmed launch date for Yosemite during next week’s keynote, which will rather focus on iOS 8 and the new iPhone (plus some nail-biting surprises). For the time being, if you want to know my feeling, I would point the release of OS X Yosemite towards the end of October .
