Temas de interés In October, Tim Cook already revealed that the iPad accounted for 91% of all web traffic generated from tablets, so this new data only serves to externally corroborate the hegemony of the apple’s tablet.

It’s a pity that IBM doesn’t shed some light on the causes behind this phenomenon, although the usual suspects are still the user experience of the iPad, its large screen and the Safari browser, to which I add a fourth: the quality of the iPad applications from online stores such as Amazon or eBay and the abundance of catalogues from major brands.

In case you’re interested, last Friday’s online sales increased by 20.7% annually, and came in at 16% from mobile devices compared to 9.8% in 2011. Visits to online stores from tabs and mobile devices also increased, from 14.3% to 24%. Finally, another curious fact is that buyers referenced from social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube generated only 0.34% of sales, falling by 35% compared to last year.
