To begin with, the new A6 chip is far more powerful than its predecessor, the A5. Does this mean it consumes much more? Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, the new processor is much more energy efficient , which is why it has managed to increase the battery life of the smartphone in normal conditions.

Specifically, iPhone 5 boasts over 8 hours of 3G talk and navigation time, 8 hours of LTE navigation, 10 hours of Wi-Fi navigation, 10 hours of video playback, 40 hours of music playback, and 225 hours of standby time. That’s about 15% more than its predecessor, the iPhone 4S .

About the materials, we have to say that the back is now made of aluminium, so there will be much less terminals returned due to aesthetic problems after a breakage. However, there are some elements in the new terminal that lead us to think that it is not an exceptionally environmentally friendly device.

The new Lightning cable will force many users of Apple products to buy adapters so that their devices can continue to work with all the accessories available on the market. This means the manufacture of many millions of connectors in the factories of East Asia.

Finally, we must say that whenever we acquire a new mobile, we must recycle the previous one (if nobody is going to use it) . In general, we can get a good discount if we sell our old terminal to get the new one.
