7toX is a simple application that allows us to import a project from FCP7 to FCPX in three easy steps:

Open the project in FCP7 and make sure that all the material is online.
2.- From the FCP7 Export menu select the XML option and save the file in the desired location.

3.- Open the XML file or drag and drop over 7toX and run the application.

It will create a new event that we can add to Final Cut Pro X and that will contain the material and editing as it was in the previous version of Apple’s video editor.

7toX is an application available on the Mac App Store that allows us to import FCP7 into FCPX and costs £7.99. There is also the opposite option, importing a Final Cut Pro X project into Final Cut Pro 7, Xto7 at a cost of £39.99.
