Interesting fact we read today: 50% of iPhones that pass through the Genius Bar have never connected to synchronize or make the backup , as told to David Chartier, editor of Macworld. This is why iCloud will be a qualitative leap.
That person who had not had the need to connect the iPhone to iTunes because it was already activated in the Apple Store, will now have less problems. One of the things they had until now was backups. By not synchronizing there was no backup of their data (usually for that kind of people contacts are the most important thing).
Now, with iCloud, that person will have some trouble with the iPhone and in the Genius Bar they’ll simply have to restore it from the last iCloud backup. It’s that easy, because since you’ll have iCloud configured from day one , you won’t have to worry about anything else.
The same goes for music: since music purchased with an iTunes Store account will be uploaded to iCloud, we can download it without the need for cables or iTunes. The use of iOS, every day, more simplified, so that it reaches more people. Do you know anyone who has never synced an iPhone?
